EPV cares about the Environment

Of all the alternative energy generation technologies, few have as small an environmental footprint as a-Si photovoltaics. Solar modules generate electricity from the sun's rays; they operate silently, produce no pollution or hazardous waste, and once installed they require no transportable fuels.

Air Pollution

Ground-level air pollution is destroying the health of all people, harming the environment and contributing to visibility problems in scenic areas. Much of this pollution is caused by generating electricity via traditional means such as burning fossil fuels like coal. Solar power produces no air pollution, and therefore avoids pollution from traditional sources with pollution free energy.

Global Warming

We ignore global warming at our peril. It is causing rising temperatures around the globe, rising sea levels, loss of coastal wetlands, increased flooding and has a severe impact on ecosystems and agriculture. The traditional way of generating power needs to step aside for cleaner, more eco-friendly technologies. Solar power passively generates power from the sun; it produces no greenhouse gases and does not contribute to global warming.

Clean Energy Payback

Energy payback is the time it takes a system to generate enough zero-emmissions energy to equal the energy used to produce it. Because of their low process temperatures and frameless design, EPV amorphous silicon (a-Si) panels provide net positive energy 30% faster than competitors' multicrystalline cells.
