EPV SOLAR announced its appointment of Mr. Franz Kemper as General Manager of its newly established Senftenberg, Germany, facility. Mr. Kemper, who comes to EPV SOLAR with over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, is presently overseeing the facility’s start-up operations.

EPV SOLAR, Inc., announced today that it will significantly expand its manufacturing operations with a new facility being built in Senftenberg, Germany. The new facility, which will be owned by EPV SOLAR Germany GmbH, a wholly-owned EPV SOLAR company, will have an initial capacity of 25 megawatts (MW) per year.

EPV SOLAR announced today that it has entered into a long- term solar module supply agreement with unlimited energy GmbH, Berlin, Germany. Under the terms of the contract, EPV SOLAR will supply 306 megawatts (MW) of amorphous silicon modules to unlimited energy for use in the development and build-out of several solar parks in Europe.

EPV Closes on $77.5 Million in New Financing

EPV announced today that it has closed on $77.5 million of senior secured notes that are convertible into common stock. Jefferies & Company acted as the sole placement agent for EPV, who will use the proceeds to increase its manufacturing capacity. This new capacity will enable the Company to meet unprecedented global demand for the Company's thin-film solar modules and products.

EPV Supplies Solar Windows to Microsoft's “School of the Future” in Philadelphia

EPV has supplied custom-made building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) windows for Philadelphia's “School of the Future”, inaugurated on September 7 th . Working with the Oldcastle Glass Co. of Moorestown, NJ, EPV fabricated the ninety-three partially transparent photovoltaic insulated windows installed in the school.

EPV Receives Major Contract to Supply Solar Products to Titan Energy Systems, Ltd. of India

EPV has received a major contract from Titan Energy Systems, Ltd. of India worth more than $20 million. According to the contract, Titan Energy Systems will purchase EPV amorphous silicon (a-Si) photovoltaic plates. EPV has commenced delivery of the solar plate and will continue to execute the supply arrangement over the next several years.

Three-year research contract with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory

EPV SOLAR is pleased to announce the award of a three-year research contract in the area of thin-film Cu(In,Ga)Se 2 by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The award, made under a competitive solicitation as part of the Thin-Film Photovoltaics Partnerships Program (TFPPP), is a subcontract under NREL's prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy. Work performed under the subcontract will be cost shared between NREL and EPV.
